Rebecca Cox
Current Projects: Teaching and pursuing education
Bio:
Becca originally hails from Ogden, Utah. She received her BA in Theater from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington (yes, it is a real place. A charming one, actually.) She moved to Chicago in 2007 to pursue acting. Recent roles include Miss Poppenguhl in Moonlight and Magnolias at Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, The Nurse/Lady Capulet in Shattered Globe’s Romeo and Juliet, and Edith in Blithe Spirit with Oak Park Festival Theatre. She can also be seen as Sandra in the Jesse Eisenberg film 30 Minutes or Less.
She is proud to have taken classes at Acting Studio Chicago where she also worked for 2 years (it’s the best- seriously. It’s how she met Doug and Roger!)
In her spare time she can be found reading- sometimes in Spanish, cooking, crafting, playing with her crazy cat, or studying and drinking wine (yes, together. She is working towards completing certificates in Enology and Viticulture from Washington State University in 2012.)
Gwynn Fulcher
Bio:
Gwynn is a performer/writer who graduated from the University of Maryland and came to Chicago in 2004. With a background in classical performance, opera, and academia, she has been most drawn to works that challenge both the performer and the audience to think critically. She was last seen contending in the philanthropic writing series WRITE CLUB. Gwynn’s latest theatrical work has been in the realm of non-illusory and historically-driven theatre, having recently co-written and performed in Chalk & Saltwater: The Ladder Project [Neo-Futurists]. Currently she is developing a piece based on the life of Antoinette Perry, in whose honor the Tony Awards were created. Through working with Perry’s family and nearly unprecedented access to private/unpublished memoirs, Gwynn aims to fashion an intimate small-cast portrait of Antoinette that reaches beyond her career as a blockbuster Broadway actress-turned-director to reflect the surprising “everyday-ness” of the mother, widow, woman of faith, mentor and war relief volunteer.
