Bio:
Eileen Niccolai holds a BA in Theatre and a BSW in Social Work from Loyola University. She has been a member of the ensemble for 22 years. Eileen has performed in several SGT productions over the years. She was seen this season in SGT’s production of Our Country’s Good . Prior to that, she appeared as Lady in 2012 in Orpheus Descending . Over the years she has been nominated for five Joseph Jefferson Awards. She received two non-equity Joseph Jefferson Awards, one for Actress in a Principal Role for And a Nightingale Sang and one for Actress in a Supporting Role for In a Pig’s Valise . She is employed as an Associate Director for Thresholds, a psychosocial rehabilitation center serving persons with severe and persistent mental illness.

Responsibilities: Education/Protege InstructorCortney is a native Chicagoian who, in addition to working with Shattered Globe, has had the privilege to work with such companies as Trap Door, Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, Redmoon as well as with talented directors such as Janet Louer. She is SGT’s Protégé Program Director as well as a teacher across Chicaoland recently teaching at Piven and The Actors Training Center. Her studies have taken her to London and Poland where she has crafted her work to encompass numerous practices including the work of Polands renouned Song of the Goat in 2008. Cortney is represented by Paonessa Talent Agency and is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA. She is a 2014 Joseph Jefferson nominated actress for her work in Core of the Pudel.
